Activated Carbon filter is an ADSORPTION cum FILTRATION process used in pretreatment as well as in post treatment in Water Treatment Plant. The unit is applied to adsorb the oxidizing agents like free chlorine, reduce TOC matters and by default physical particulates. Normally the filtration velocity of the Activated carbon filter is 20 m/hr,
however it may vary depending upon the water source. APSI Activated Carbon filters are charged with high iodine value carbon – up to 1000 and available in wide range with respect to flow rates as well as material of construction of the vessel is concern.
